Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bylo Scan is developed and operated by Caglar Labs ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at privacy@byloscan.com.

2. What data we collect

Nothing you don't expect. Bylo Scan is designed to work offline-first. Here's what we do and don't collect:

• Scanned documents — stored locally on your device only. Never uploaded to our servers.
• OCR text — extracted on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Never leaves your device.
• iCloud sync (optional) — if you enable iCloud sync, your documents are stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. We never have access to them.
• Crash reports (optional) — anonymous crash data via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No document content is ever included. You can opt out in Settings.
• Purchase receipts — processed by Apple's App Store. We receive only a token confirming your subscription status.

3. What we do NOT collect

• We do not read, upload, or analyse your scanned documents.
• We do not track your behaviour for advertising.
• We do not sell data to any third party.
• We do not require account creation to use the app.

4. Camera and photo library

Bylo Scan requests camera access to capture documents and photo library access to import existing images. This access is used solely to create scans within the app. Frames are processed on-device and never transmitted.

5. Third-party services

• Apple App Store — handles all payments. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous crash reporting when enabled. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• iCloud (Apple) — optional document sync using your Apple ID. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

All your data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes everything. If you use iCloud sync, you can manage and delete iCloud data from your device's Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

7. Children's privacy

Bylo Scan is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we don't collect personal data tied to you, there is nothing to request or delete on our side. For any questions, email privacy@byloscan.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
